Apeldoorn

Filmed during the Be There tour a full length concert in the town of Apeldoorn in the heart of the Netherlands. Featuring Colin Copperfield, Mary Dunne, Paul Felber, Mandy Franklin and Stephen Pert. The MD was  Neil Drinkwater.
Judging from the audience reaction they were certainly loved in Apeldoorn!

1. Band Opening

2. Be There

3. Susie's Bar

With intro from Colin

4. European Affair

With intro from Perty

5. Catch Ya Later

Colin's song on the scooter introduced by Mary

6. Undercover

A Steve Perty composition - a song about the Berlin Wall coming down and betrayal in general. Very adventerous!

7. Call A Reporter

Mary sings a track from No Strings Attached

8. Locking My Heart Away

Sung by Mandy

9. The Bassman Song

Paul sings his song from the No Strings Attached Album

10. Paradise By The Dashboard Light

MeatLoaf's Paradise By The Dashboard Light which was added to the repertoire in 1989 and was a huge success.  The roles of the dominant male and hesitant female were reversed, so effectively it was Mary after a shy Colin.  Within the number there is a Drive-in Movie, a WWF Wrestling Match (American Football in the original) and a wedding complete with top hat, veil, bouquet and confetti.  This number closed the first half of the tour and was one of the most popular Crash stage songs.

11. There Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens

The Louis Jordan song. This one survived from the very first performance at the Country Cousin Club in 1980. In fact if you count Louis' version that's 40 years longer.

12. Open All Night

13. Perty patter

14. Too Shy

Another song from the No Strings Attached Album

15. Colin's monologue into
At Least I'm Not Too Short

This is a song written by Colin.  This followed on from earlier 'Short' songs including Randy Newman's Short People, and another Colin composition, Short Is Good.

16. Flash Back Cadillac

17. Only A Step Away

An Italian song from the European Affair album

18. Drift Away

The Dobie Gray song performed here by Mandy

19. Name Check

Mary does her thing

20. Saved

Another one that survived from the first performance at the Country Cousin Club in 1980. Before being upstaged by Swing Swing Swing this was always the group's closing number.

21. Paul's intro to Swing

22. Swing Swing Swing

The group's swing medley closer since 1981 when it was voted that as Colin made everybody laugh off stage he should be the clown onstage too. He wasn't flattered at the time as I recall.

23. Encore

24. Band Play off
